19 points each: Germany level with Italy at the top

Four past Bosnia, then a blank against Italy — Germany stay neck and neck with the leaders in Group D.

Two games, one won, one drawn, none lost. Four goals in Sarajevo, none in Germany. That is the week Jogi's boys gave us — and it leaves them level with Italy on 19 points from eight, second only on the table's order.

Emrah Aldemir, Romario Stuff, Tion Greppmeir and Romain Capron shared the scoring in the 4-0 win over Bosnia and Herzegovina on 15 November. Three days later Italy came and shut the door: 0-0. No panic, but no breakthrough either. "We wanted the win," was the word from the camp. "Now we finish the job." Finland, on 12 points, are the next hurdle. Beat them and the summer is ours to take.
