“Who takes the Leganés job?”
Ramiro Ortíz has left Leganés, and Matteo Colli is among the names linked with the vacancy—but no appointment is known.

One vacancy, one name in the press, and no answer yet: Leganés must decide who follows Ramiro Ortíz, with Frosinone manager Matteo Colli linked to the job on Monday.
The reports point to a 34-year-old Italian who has been at Frosinone since June 2062. They do not amount to an appointment, nor do they say that Colli has agreed to leave. Leganés have made no choice known. In this part of Madrid, the dugout remains an open door and every rumour is a footstep outside it.
Colli’s name has surfaced before. On 24 February, he was linked with the vacant post at C. Leonesa after Marius Tadir left. Now the same manager is associated with another opening in Spanish football, this time at Leganés, a respected name in continental football. The change of club gives the speculation weight, but not certainty.
The only firm event is Ortíz’s departure. What comes next will shape the mood around a side whose season has already drawn sharp scrutiny: on 11 March, The Spanish Daily examined the strain in the centre-back partnership of Kelvin Granja and Raúl Agirre. That is not a brief for the next manager, and no one should pretend the vacancy itself tells us what the team needs. It does, however, leave a club with work to do and an important choice to make.
Colli’s profile suggests a preference for attacking football and a 4-4-2, but a manager’s habits on paper are not a promise about what he would bring to Leganés. The club’s supporters will want more than a formation and a line of rumour: they will want a man capable of making the next chapter feel like their own. For now, the links are all that can be said.
Spain’s clubs have had reason to savour Europe today, with three games producing two wins and a draw, but the Leganés story is a more intimate drama: not a ball in flight, but the moment before the music begins. Whether Colli is listening—or whether Leganés have another name in mind—remains unknown. The job is vacant; the decision is not public.
