Bayern’s winning streak keeps the Bundesliga crown in view

Five straight victories in the latest stretch have carried FC Bayern München to seven league wins in a row and first place on 63 points.

The ball was out of sight by the time FC Bayern München had finished the job in Fürth: a 2-0 win, another clean result, another step in a league run that now stands at seven victories. On Saturday, SpVgg Greuther Fürth became the latest side to find Bayern’s winning rhythm difficult to interrupt.

The sequence has been built without fuss. Bayern beat FC St. Pauli 2-0 on 15 February, then TSG Hoffenheim by the same score on 23 February. A 1-0 win at RB Leipzig followed on 1 March; Bayer 04 Leverkusen were beaten 2-0 on 8 March before Saturday’s success.

That consistency has put Iñigo Mateo’s side top of the Bundesliga after 26 matches, with 63 points. The league table—not a run of wins alone—will decide what Bayern’s form is worth.

There is a familiar weight behind the expectation. A seventh straight victory makes the present look compelling; it does not erase the years since the last championship.

For Bayern, the arithmetic is simple: first place, 63 points, and a winning sequence still alive. Mateo’s team have made the league theirs to lead. Now comes the harder business of turning that position into a title.
