Can anyone stop Paddy McFarlane when he plays like this?
Kidderminster Harriers' striker produced a hat-trick and a perfect display to send Carlisle United out of the FA Cup in a 6-0 rout at Aggborough.

Paddy McFarlane did not merely score three times; he made Carlisle United's afternoon feel like an examination they had already failed. His hat-trick, four shots and four on target, a key pass and a rating of 10 out of 10 told the story of a forward in complete command, and Kidderminster Harriers' 6-0 win turned a cup tie into a demonstration.
The first half set the tone. Kidderminster's midfield had been reshuffled, with Jamie Lee and Marlon Martey drafted into unfamiliar central roles and Daniel Unsworth starting on the left, but McFarlane gave the side a fixed point. Matt Knight, facing the club where he spent two seasons, was the supply line from the right, and his two assists and five key passes kept Carlisle's back line turning. Selmir Hasanovic won five tackles and five interceptions for the visitors, yet the ball kept coming back.
At half-time Kidderminster changed shape and personnel, Jermaine Scott and Philip Guyton coming on, and the game did not loosen its grip. Guyton scored, Unsworth scored after six dribbles, and McFarlane kept moving, always available, always asking the question Carlisle could not answer. Connor Webb, in the Carlisle goal, made nine clearances and still left with the ball in his net six times.
Carlisle's own afternoon was disrupted from the start: Ashley Thomas was on the bench, David Ubieto did not begin, and Róbert Farkas was absent, so Jamie Morrison led the line. The changes came, Paul Martin and Jack Watson on up front, Richard Walsh at left-back, but by then the tie had slipped away.
For McFarlane, this was a performance that will be remembered in these parts for a while, the kind of cup afternoon that makes a modest ground feel like the centre of the game. For Carlisle, it is a long journey home and a result to absorb.
