Five clubs, five points: Germany refuses separation

Dortmund lead Leipzig by one point, but Düsseldorf, Frankfurt and Hertha remain close enough to turn every weekend into a reshuffle.

Germany’s title race has reached the stage where first place offers visibility but no shelter.

The latest imported Bundesliga table has Borussia Dortmund leading with 52 points from 25 matches. RB Leipzig are one point behind. Düsseldorf have 49, Eintracht Frankfurt 48 and Hertha Berlin 47. Five clubs are separated by five points.

Leipzig’s goal difference of plus 36 is the strongest in the group, seven better than Dortmund’s, but the table still rewards accumulated results rather than theoretical strength. Düsseldorf remain close enough to turn one weekend into a title intervention; Frankfurt and Hertha are equally entitled to believe that two victories could change the entire hierarchy.

This is not a race waiting for a single decisive match. It is a contest of repeated emotional recovery. Every win raises expectation, every draw creates a queue behind the leaders and every defeat risks moving a club from contender to pursuer without materially ending its chance.

Dortmund possess the lead. Nobody possesses separation. In March, that distinction is the entire German season.
