The Quiet Change of Guilherme
After a career measured in 791 club games and 142 goals, Guilherme has exchanged the playing field for the manager’s work at Estrela do Norte Futebol Clube.

Guilherme’s playing career has ended quietly; the work of building a team has begun. Since 1 March 2063, the former Ceará Sporting Club player has been manager at Estrela do Norte Futebol Clube, taking a new place in football without leaving the game that occupied him from 2046/47 to 2062/63.
Ceará was where most of it happened. Between 2049/50 and 2062/63, Guilherme played 743 times for the club and scored 139 goals. Before that came VDG, where 48 games and three goals began the senior record in 2046/47.
That is a career substantial enough to resist the easy summary. Ceará did not merely occupy the largest portion of the total; it was the setting for nearly all of Guilherme’s footballing life. There, across the long stretch from 2049/50, the accumulation became a kind of familiarity: season after season, the same shirt, the same responsibility to turn up and contribute. The numbers cannot tell us what supporters remember most, but they do show the uncommon durability behind that memory.
Its Brazilian Ceará State Championship titles came in several distinct runs, including four in a row from 2022 to 2025. The latest title came in 2062, during Guilherme’s final season with the club. It is a useful detail, not an explanation of his departure: the notebook gives no reason for the end of his playing days, and none is needed to understand the change in role.
Guilherme’s coaching style is attacking, and his preferred shape is a 4-3-3 DM Wide. Those are the first clues to the manager he means to be, rather than a promise of what Estrela do Norte will become. He has moved from making his contribution inside the game to arranging the conditions in which others can make theirs.
There is a particular quietness to that transition. A player’s career can be counted in goals and games; a manager’s is judged in decisions whose meaning often emerges later. Guilherme arrives at this second occupation carrying the weight of a long playing life, especially the years at Ceará, but without needing to repeat it. The record of his playing days is already clear. The new story is still being written, one training ground and one team at a time.
