Al-Nassr and Ponferrada Chase Harti as PSG Deal Nears Its End
Jameleddine Harti, out of contract in June, is wanted by Saudi side Al-Nassr and Spanish outfit Ponferrada, with the 34-year-old Frenchman's £190,000-a-week wages at Paris Saint-Germain now a key factor.
The vultures are circling. Jameleddine Harti, Paris Saint-Germain's 34-year-old French international, is a wanted man. Al-Nassr Football Club and Ponferrada have both declared their interest in the midfielder, whose contract at the Parc des Princes runs out at the end of June. With no new deal on the table, PSG face losing him for nothing.
Harti has been a fixture in the French capital since joining on a free transfer in August 2059. He has made 174 appearances for the club, scoring 39 goals, and remains a key figure in the dressing room. But at £190,000 a week, he is one of the club's highest earners, and with no extension agreed, the board may be ready to let him walk.
Al-Nassr's interest is no surprise. The Saudi club are shopping big this winter, with 42 names on their list, and Harti's experience across six clubs and 636 career games makes him an attractive option. Ponferrada, meanwhile, are a more modest suitor, but they have made their move early.
For Harti, the next six months will define his legacy. He has won major titles with PSG, but the chance to secure one last big payday before retirement is hard to ignore. The question is whether PSG will fight to keep him or let sentiment slide.
The clock is ticking. Come January, Harti can sign a pre-contract agreement with any club outside France. Al-Nassr and Ponferrada are already at the table. PSG must decide: pay up or say goodbye.
