Borko Čolić once carried VfL Wolfsburg's hopes, a Serbian engine in midfield for 366 matches. Now he leaves for FC Sochaux-Montbéliard for £3.4m, a quiet exit after over a decade of service.
The 33-year-old won nothing at the Volkswagen Arena, despite his 45 goals. Sochaux, fresh from selling Juan Mayorga and Alexandru Chiriţă, need his experience. 'He gives us control,' a club source said. Wolfsburg fans will remember the runs, the tackles, the near misses. But trophies? None.
