Jones reaches 200 in Bolton shirt
The Welsh striker hit the milestone in his 608th game for the club.
200.
That is the number of club goals for Kyle Jones after he found the net once more this season, reaching the milestone in his 608th match for Bolton Wanderers.
Jones, 31, has spent his entire career at the club since coming through the youth intake in April 2048. He has played in every season from 2047/48 to 2063/64, never appearing for another side.
His two caps for Wales have not produced a goal, but at club level the striker has been consistent enough to average a goal roughly every three games over sixteen seasons.
The milestone arrives in a season that, for Bolton, has been unremarkable, but for Jones it confirms a rare loyalty. Over 600 games for one club is itself a feat; 200 goals from a player who never left is rarer still.
No other current Bolton player is close to those numbers, and no supporter at the ground would need reminding that Jones is the only man to have scored 200 for the club in all the years the club has kept such lists.
The modest surroundings suit him. Bolton have never claimed to be more than a local side, and Jones has never looked elsewhere.
He may not be the most celebrated striker in the game, but the figure is now unarguable: 200 goals, one club, one name.
