Santi breaks collarbone as Brescia count the cost
Brescia lose their midfield anchor for roughly six weeks, and the timing could hardly be worse.

Who holds Brescia's midfield together now? Riccardo Santi broke his collarbone on 8 November, and the medical staff expect him out for about 39 days, with a return around 17 December — an estimate, not a promise. Eight club games will pass without him.
That is a heavy subtraction. Santi is the central midfielder who screens, sets the tempo and absorbs punishment so others can play; 15 games and three goals this season say he has been doing more than the dirty work. His absence leaves a hole in the middle for a side still stinging from the 3-2 Europa Conference League defeat by KGHM Zagłębie Lubin. Defenders know what a missing screen costs them.
