2-0: Bayern End Nürnberg's Cup Night In 25 Minutes
Two early goals settled the derby before Nürnberg could draw breath, and Bayern's grip on the DFB-Pokal tie never slipped.

Twenty-five minutes. That was the whole derby. Bayern 2, Nürnberg 0, and the rest of the night was a long walk home for the visitors.
Teodoro Brugué struck after two minutes. Sil Vlietstra made it two on 25, and the tie was gone. Vlietstra had nine shots and eight on target; Nürnberg managed one shot all evening, none on target. Bayern had 28 shots, 17 on target. Cornel Iosif set up the first and took the player-of-the-match rating. Hakan Kartal in the Nürnberg goal kept the score from turning ugly.
And Bayern did it the hard way. Goalkeeper Moshe Lazarovich came off on 31 minutes; Rudi Frede came on, and Frede himself was gone injured six minutes later. Nahue Grethlein took the gloves. Emeka Omotayo made way at the same moment; Víctor Manuel Domínguez, who had the assist, limped off on 59. Bayern finished in a shape they had not started with and still never lost control.
Nürnberg's centre-backs Eli Bramall and Saša Bubalo had another rough night; that pairing has been shipping goals all season. Valério and Vincent Düggelin battled in midfield, Düggelin with four key passes and four tackles won, but the ball rarely got up the pitch. Bramall, Grégory Schultz and Gerardo Orozco went in the book.
This fixture has been tightening: a 1-1 draw in March, a 3-1 Bayern win before that. Now a cup night with no answer. Bayern march on; Nürnberg's wait goes on. They still have not won a game this season.
