Sahar passes 400 club goals in an Inter shirt
A striker who has scored on five different stages reaches 401 club goals, and the figure tells less than the spread of it.
Five countries, seven clubs, nineteen seasons: Netanel Sahar's 401st club goal was scored for Internazionale, yet the number belongs to no single badge. He took sixteen goals from Hapoel Ra'anana as a teenager, then six at Hamburger SV, eight at Valencia, twenty-five at Southampton, nineteen at RB Leipzig, and 126 across nine years at Chelsea before the £70m move to Inter in July 2057. For Inter he has added 201 in 277 games.
"Four hundred is just a number I kept counting," he said this week. At 34 he is still counting, and the spread of the tally is the truer measure: a career built in instalments, each one paid in full.
