Who do Leipzig turn to on the right now? Romain Capron twisted his ankle on 18 October, and the medical staff reckon on roughly 28 days out. Back around 15 November, if the healing goes to plan. Seven club games he misses. That is a lot of football on one flank.
Capron is 31 and he has been at Leipzig since the summer of 2050, a £5.6m buy from Borussia Dortmund. He gives them width and experience down the right, and this season he has had three games without a goal. Now the physios have him. Seven games is a long stretch to fill from inside the squad. Nobody at the club will say it out loud, but they will feel this one.
