“Roma struck first, Inter answered”
Domenico Marino’s first-half goal was cancelled by Eduardo Galván as Roma and FC Internazionale Milano shared a 1-1 Serie A derby.

“We had the lead, but not the last word.” Roma’s Domenico Marino supplied the first half’s decisive flash; Eduardo Galván made sure FC Internazionale Milano left with a point in a 1-1 derby on 15 September.
The game had promised a sharp test for Roma against unbeaten Inter, and it delivered a contest that refused to settle. Marino put Roma ahead in the 45th minute, turning Mohamed Mando’s assist into a burst of home hope just before the break. Mando, once an Inter player, had a hand in the moment that briefly tilted this rivalry Roma’s way.
Inter’s answer came in the 68th minute. Galván finished the work of Netanel Sahar, whose assist restored parity and gave the visitors a foothold in a match that had grown increasingly open. Roma hit the woodwork twice, but could not find another goal; Inter also pressed, with more possession and more shots on target, without turning their edge into a second strike.
So the derby adds another draw to a recent sequence that has offered little comfort to Roma: Inter won 2-1 in May, while the sides drew 0-0 in December and 1-1 in January 2062. Inter also won 3-0 in May 2062. This time, Roma at least made them work for the point—and made the old rivalry feel alive rather than settled.
For the capital club, there is frustration in letting a lead slip, especially after Marino’s goal and Mando’s lively contribution. For Inter, Galván’s equaliser keeps the edge of the evening from belonging entirely to their hosts. Neither side can claim the derby; both leave with another chapter to argue over.
