6 points from two matches have put Inter third, while Roma sit fifth on four after a win and a draw. The sides meet in the Italian Serie A on 15 September, a derby carrying an early test of ambition and nerve. Roma will be without Lorenzo Marzocchi, who has a twisted ankle.
The recent ledger favours Inter: a 2-1 win in May followed a 3-0 victory, with a goalless draw between them. Roma’s Mohamed Mando, Mil Moens and Sérgio Ricardo have all worn Inter colours; Nicola Orlandi made the reverse passage. For Roma, the task is to turn old loyalties into present-day defiance.
