Can Olympiacos add a new centre-back for £778k? They have their man, completing a move for Alexandros Vellidis from Panachaiki GE on 22 September 2063.
The 29-year-old Australian switches between Greek Super League 1 clubs. It is a bombshell deal for Olympiacos and a new chapter for Vellidis, who leaves Panachaiki to join his new side.
There is a familiar link between the clubs: Jens Bär played for Panachaiki from 2057/58 to 2063/64 before joining Olympiacos. Now Vellidis makes the same club-to-club move, with the £778k fee confirmed.
