Léopoldie leaves Lens for Coruña in £0.6m switch
Frenchman Lowick Léopoldie has moved from RC Lens to Spanish Second Division side Coruña for £0.6m.

RC Lens have lost a French player to Spain, with Lowick Léopoldie completing a £0.6m move to Coruña on 16 August. The transfer takes the 28-year-old from Ligue 1 to the Spanish Second Division, opening a new chapter after three seasons at Lens.
Léopoldie made 35 appearances and scored nine goals for Lens between 2060/61 and 2063/64. Now the former Lens man changes colours and leagues, carrying that experience into Coruña’s campaign.
His wider club career has taken in six clubs, with 188 appearances and 60 goals. He has not played for France’s national team. Coruña are bringing in a player with a substantial run of senior football behind him, while Lens have another departure this summer.
There is a familiar Lens thread in the transfer market: Gino Alarcón also left the club on 16 August, joining Club Olimpo de Bahía Blanca for £0.6m. Two departures on the same date, and another French name beginning again abroad.
For French football, Léopoldie’s move is a modest story, but Lens have watched a Frenchman head out and Coruña have brought him in. Now comes the work of turning a transfer into a place in the side.
