Sefronovic’s Frankfurt Loan: A Familiar Face Makes the Switch
Eintracht Frankfurt have taken Reuven Sefronovic on loan from VfL Wolfsburg, bringing the experienced Israeli into their Bundesliga ranks.

German football is built on graft and long service. Reuven Sefronovic has supplied plenty of both at VfL Wolfsburg. Now the 34-year-old is heading to Eintracht Frankfurt on loan, in a move announced on 14 August.
Sefronovic has been at Wolfsburg since 2054/55 and played 373 games for the club, scoring 17 goals. That is no brief stopover. He leaves after a decade of service and arrives at Frankfurt with a long record of work behind him.
The move links two clubs already joined by familiar faces. Edin Kujovic played 68 games for Wolfsburg between 2052/53 and 2059/60 before joining Frankfurt. Sefronovic now makes the same switch, bringing his experience to a new dressing room.
His career began in 2044/45. Across five clubs, he has played 652 club games and scored 37 goals. He has also represented Israel 47 times, scoring four goals. Those figures point to a professional who has stayed in the game and kept contributing.
Frankfurt finished fifth in the Bundesliga last season. Sefronovic’s loan gives them an experienced player with a long understanding of the club he has just left. Now comes the work: settle in, earn his place and help Eintracht where he can.
