705 club games tell you Nigel Hill knows the demands of a long career. Now the 40-year-old Welshman must make his mark from the touchline, having been appointed Cartagena manager on 30 July.
Hill scored 124 club goals between 2038/39 and 2059/60, with Manchester United his main club as a player. Cartagena have also spent £3.8m on one player this summer, the highest outlay in the Spanish Second Division. The club’s new manager inherits a season of ambition—and no old-club reunion to soften the change.
