128 goals settle the argument: Flores is Colo Colo’s top scorer

Jorge Flores has moved three goals clear of Ignacio Ibacache’s mark, giving Colo Colo a new all-time leading scorer.

“It belongs to Colo Colo,” said Jorge Flores, whose 128 goals have carried him past Ignacio Ibacache’s previous club record of 125. The milestone, confirmed on 12 August 2063, puts a neat margin between the two totals: three goals, after Flores added six in the 2062/63 season.

The arithmetic is simple; the accumulation is not. Flores has made 428 club appearances across a career spanning 2047/48 to 2062/63, scoring 128 times for three clubs. At Colo Colo, the Chilean has turned that long run into the number the club will now measure its other finishers against. Ibacache’s 125 had stood as the mark to beat; Flores has passed it without needing a complicated footnote.

There is a fitting background rhythm. Colo Colo’s run of 11 consecutive Chilean First Division titles, from 2052 to 2062, gives this record a place in a period of sustained success, though the goals belong to Flores one by one. Six this season were enough to move him beyond a total built over many campaigns. No grand theory is required: the old figure was 125, and the new one is 128.

Flores’s tally also sits alongside 67 Chile appearances and nine international goals, a separate count that does not alter the club ranking. At Colo Colo, the calculation is now his. Across 428 club games, he has scored almost three times in every ten appearances — 128 goals, and a new number at the top.
