The ink was barely dry, but the look on Iván's face said it all. A new chapter, a new shirt, and a fresh start in Germany. The 25-year-old Spaniard has left Juventus for RB Leipzig in a £26.5m deal, bringing an end to his time in Turin.

For a player of his talent, the move raises questions. Why leave one of the world's grandest clubs? Perhaps the answer lies in Leipzig's project, their hunger, and the promise of a starring role. Or maybe, after 132 games and 51 goals for the Bianconeri, Iván simply wanted a new challenge.

Juventus, fresh from their own business this summer with the arrival of Neluțu Negruț from FC Voluntari, have let go of a player who, while not always the headline act, contributed consistently. Leipzig, meanwhile, secure a forward in his prime, a player well known in his homeland and capable of lighting up the Bundesliga.

As Iván boards the plane to Saxony, one can't help but wonder: will he become the latest in a long line of Spanish stars to conquer Germany? Or will he be just another name in the revolving door of modern football?

One thing is certain: the Bundesliga has gained a player with a point to prove. And for £26.5m, Leipzig will expect him to prove it quickly.
