A one-club man at 33: does Al-Taawoun's interest tempt Boca's Soler?
Al-Taawoun Football Club are after Boca Juniors stalwart Martín Soler, a player who has spent his entire career at La Bombonera.

For seventeen seasons, Martín Soler has been Boca Juniors. Came through the youth intake in 2046, 737 games, 65 goals, a handful of caps for Argentina. Now, at 33, with his deal up in a year, Al-Taawoun Football Club want him.
It is a story as old as the transfer market: the one-club man, the late offer, the question of loyalty versus a final payday. Soler is on £81,000 a week at Boca, and the Saudi club can surely better that. They have money, ambition, and a habit of picking off veterans from South America.
But this is not a player who has been agitating for a move. Soler has known nothing but Boca since he was a teenager. He has seen the title runs come and go: four in a row in the league from 2028, three Copa Libertadores on the spin from 2046. He has been a fixture through the good years and the lean ones.
Boca are third in the Argentine Premier Division, without a manager, and the gap to the leaders is the club's principal concern. Losing Soler would not help that cause, but every player has a price and every career has an end.
Al-Taawoun's interest is real, and they have form: they are also linked with Soler's teammate Mariano Rodríguez. If they get one, does the other follow? The next few weeks will tell us whether Soler is ready to swap La Bombonera for the Saudi Pro League, or whether he will see out his contract and write his own ending.
For now, Boca hold the cards. They can sell, or they can hold. But with a year left on his deal, Soler's value will only fall from here. The question is whether Al-Taawoun's money is enough to make Boca blink.
