“He does not give ground”

At Botafogo Futebol Clube (SP), Brazilian teenager Luiz Antônio Fragoas is drawing attention for the resolve and work he brings to the contest.

15 is the number that matters most: Luiz Antônio Fragoas is already being watched in the senior environment at Botafogo Futebol Clube (SP), where the signs are that he can hold his own against older opponents.

The appeal is not a polished highlight reel. It is the willingness to get involved: Fragoas shows determination and bravery, works hard, and tackles with conviction. Those are useful foundations for a young player stepping into tougher football, where a promising technical moment can count for little if he cannot compete when the game turns physical.

There is no need to hurry the next step. Botafogo, in Brazil’s National Third Division, can offer a setting in which those habits are tested and strengthened. Fragoas has not yet registered club appearances this season, so the immediate task is to turn encouraging training-ground impressions into opportunities on the pitch.

The scout’s sense is that senior football would not leave him out of place. That is a promising starting point, not a guarantee of what comes next. For now, the qualities worth following are simple and important: he keeps working, commits to the tackle and does not shrink from the contest.
