Soldić’s Season of Substance

Mladen Soldić turned a full Croatian First League campaign for NK Osijek into a quietly compelling case for what comes next.

The season’s work gathers in the small details: a run made, a pass found, another opponent asked to turn and track. Across 34 Croatian First League appearances for NK Osijek, Mladen Soldić built a campaign that speaks of reliability as much as promise.

The 19-year-old finished 2062/63 with seven goals and five assists, and a rating of 7.36. Those figures sketch a young player who contributed at both ends of the attacking move, rather than living on one standout return. For a scout, the value is in the breadth: regular involvement, a useful share of goals, and enough creative output to suggest Soldić can affect how an attack develops.

He has spent his senior club career at Osijek, making 46 appearances and scoring eight goals since 2059/60. His latest league season accounts for most of that scoring, a clear step forward in production. It is still a modest sample across a young career, but the direction is encouraging: a player growing into responsibility through minutes, not simply waiting for a brief opening.

Soldić has also made one appearance for Croatia, without scoring. That is an early marker, not a verdict. The next step is to make this league form feel repeatable: to keep finding useful positions, turn five assists into a dependable creative thread, and add goals without losing the connective work that makes him valuable.

At 19, seven goals and five assists over a full top-flight season give Osijek something solid to build on. Soldić’s numbers do not demand grand claims. They invite a closer watch, and leave room for a more ambitious one.
